I shoot for weeks, not days. A camera that has stopped being interesting stops changing how people behave.

A film with no commissioned broadcaster, built from a two-person crew and a family willing to let us stay. The work was getting it finished and then getting it seen.
Context
A working harbour scheduled for redevelopment, and a family that had agreed to be filmed over a full year.
Problem
No funding attached, and by month eleven we had 60 hours of footage and no route to an audience.
Approach
Cut a 9-minute festival short from the same material to test the story, then built the feature edit around the scenes that survived.
Solution
A self-financed festival run paired with a poster series shot on location, plus outreach to fishing cooperatives for local screenings.
Outcome
Broadcast sale to RTP2, 11 festival selections, and three screenings arranged by the community itself.
The family now runs the harbour association that negotiated the redevelopment terms.
